Jeffrey J. Groen, CPA/ABV, MST
Jeff Groen graduated from Walsh College in Troy, Mich. in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He received his Masters Degree in Taxation in 1981, along with the Everett Hawley Taxation Award as valedictorian of his post-graduate class, also at Walsh College.
Just a few years later, Mr. Groen established his own accounting firm and recently received AICPA Specialty Designation with an accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV).
In his current role as managing partner, Mr. Groen provides valuations of entities and partnerships, litigation support services, tax research, planning and preparation, corporate reorganizations and economic, financial, operational and management consultation for clients.
Mr. Groen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), including the association's Management Consulting and Tax Division; the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), including the association's Mergers and Acquisitions Task Force; chairs the Practice Management Committee and serves on the Business Valuation committee for CPA Associates International (CPAAI); and is Past President of Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester.
In the past he has served as an adjunct faculty staff member, for both undergraduate and graduate level accounting for Walsh College, and as treasurer for the North Oakland YMCA.
He lives in Rochester Hills with his wife and has four children, is an avid golfer and is an IFR rated pilot.
