Lisa M. Papas, CPA, CFE
Lisa Papas has been a staff accountant with Groen, Kluka & Company, P.C. since 1993 and is a firm shareholder. While with the firm she has provided a variety of tax and accounting services, including audits, reviews and compilations, valuations, corporate and individual income tax return preparation, tax planning and other tax related responsibilities. Lisa also handles most in-house human resource tasks.
In November 2005 Papas earned her Certified Fraud Examination (CFE) designation from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the world's leading provider of anti-fraud training and education. She is certified to provide fraud examination services to Groen, Kluka & Company, P.C. clients.
With her CFE designation, Papas is credentialed in four areas critical to the ongoing fight against fraud: fraudulent financial transactions, criminology and ethics, as well as legal elements of fraud and fraud investigation.
She has worked extensively with companies in a variety of industries including, retail sales, manufacturing, consulting, engineering, distributors and construction. While with the firm, she has had a unique opportunity to work with small business and business owners and help provide financial advice and decisions.
She earned her Bachelors of Accounting from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan. Prior to joining Groen, Kluka & Company, P.C. she had managerial experience in the corporate retail sector.
